The San Antonio Section of the American Chemical Society (ACS) is pleased to announce the continuation of The Dr. Gloria Lyle Chemistry Scholarship Award. This award is made possible in part through the generosity of the late Dr. Gloria Lyle, for whom this award is named, and her husband Dr. Robert Lyle. The purpose of the fund is to reward a deserving female high school or college student for her academic achievement and her intentions to pursue a career in science. The amount of the award for this year will be $1000 dollars. The winner of this award will be selected from the applications received by May 1, 2007. The award will be presented at the Annual ACS Banquet Meeting to be held in May 2007. This criteria for the award are that the student must be:
The honoree will be selected from nominations made by science (chemistry) teachers in South TX. Completed nomination forms for students who fit the profile described above must be submitted and received at the following address no later than May 1, 2007 in order for the students to be considered as candidates for this award: Dr. L.
